GT99 App Install: Step-by-Step and Error Fixes
Summary
- An install follows four stages: download, allow, install, sign in; a fault belongs to one stage.
- Most failures come from the unknown-sources block, a partial download or too little storage.
- A parse or compatibility error usually means a damaged file or an unsupported Android version.
- If the install stays stubborn, the mobile site reaches the same account.

Install problems look random but are not. Each of the four stages has its own failure signature, so the message on the screen tells you which stage broke. This guide gives the sequence first, then a table matching messages to causes. We have not confirmed a minimum Android version or file size for GT99, so the fixes are written around what the phone reports.
The four stages and what each needs
Stage one is the download, which needs a stable connection and enough free space for the file plus unpacking room. Stage two is permission, where Android asks if the browser or file manager may install apps. Stage three is the install itself. Stage four is the first launch and sign-in.
Take them in order and check the outcome of each before the next. If stage one ended early, stage three will report a corrupt package and send you hunting in the wrong place. Start from the app route in the app hub if you have not chosen a source yet.
Install steps
Follow the numbers exactly.
- 1. Open a listed GT99 address and tap the app download button.
- 2. Wait for the notification to show the download as complete; do not open a partial file.
- 3. Tap the file. If Android blocks it, open the settings link in the prompt and allow installs for that one app.
- 4. Go back, tap the file again and select install.
- 5. Open the app, sign in, and confirm the balance.
- 6. Switch the unknown-sources permission off.
Error messages and their causes
Match the message you see to the row.
| Message or symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Install blocked | Unknown sources not allowed | Allow for the browser or file manager, retry |
| App not installed | Storage full or conflicting older copy | Free space; remove the old copy; retry |
| Parse error | Damaged or incomplete file | Delete it and download again on a stable connection |
| Not compatible | Phone or Android version too old | Use the mobile site instead |
| Opens then closes | Memory or cache | Restart the phone; clear the app cache; reinstall |
When the install still fails
Switch network, restart the phone and try once more from a fresh download. If the same error repeats, stop forcing it. The mobile site gives you the same account without an install, and the Android guide explains how to keep the permission change contained.
Crashes after a clean install are covered in the blog article on app crashes.
