GT99 App Update: Get the Latest Version Cleanly
Summary
- An APK does not update itself through the Play Store, so you install new versions yourself.
- Your balance and history live on GT99, not on the phone, so reinstalling does not remove them.
- Clearing cache fixes many stale-screen faults without a reinstall.
- Always download the new file from a listed address, never from a forwarded link.
- 18+ only
- Official partner site
- Verified 5 Nov 2026
- Limits before play
An outdated app usually fails in a recognisable way: screens that never finish loading, features that appear in the browser but not in the app, or a message asking you to upgrade. Because an APK sits outside the store, updating it is your job. The method is short once you know the order, and the order is chosen so that nothing about your account is at risk.
Signs that the app is out of date
The clearest sign is a message telling you to install a newer version. Quieter signs are a lobby that looks different on the mobile site, buttons that do nothing, or repeated sign-in failures only in the app while the browser works. That last pattern is the strongest hint, because it separates an app fault from an account fault.
Before assuming the version, rule out the simpler causes. Check your connection, then read the login guide in case the problem is the credentials.
Updating in the right order
The sequence below works for an APK that was installed from the GT99 site.
- Sign out of the app and note that you know your username and password.
- Download the current file from a listed GT99 address.
- Install it over the old copy; Android keeps the app in place if the file is genuine and signed the same way.
- If Android refuses, uninstall the old copy and install the new file instead.
- Sign in and confirm the balance and name match your account.
Cache, data and reinstalling
Cache holds temporary files and is safe to clear: it only forces the app to reload them. Clearing data goes further and signs you out, so have your credentials ready. Neither touches the balance, because the balance is stored on GT99 and not on the phone.
Reinstalling is the strongest step, and it is the one to use when cache alone fails. If install errors appear, the install guide lists them.
| Action | Signs you out? | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Restart phone | No | Screens freeze |
| Clear cache | Usually no | Stale or half-loaded screens |
| Clear data | Yes | Cache clearing failed |
| Reinstall | Yes | Version mismatch or repeated crashes |
Staying current without taking risks
A repeating chore tempts people to use the first link they find. Resist that. The same address you used the first time is the right source for every update. For the wider app overview and the browser fallback, return to the app hub, and for Android permissions see the Android APK guide.
